Micropigmentation was developed as a cosmetic procedure for both men and women who suffer hair loss. This procedure leaves tiny micro dots which resemble hair follicles on the scalp, filling in the balding area and giving it a full natural look. The machine used is specially designed with state-of-the-art technology and has been created specifically for scalp artistry.
Density is a procedure using an electrical device to densely saturate the scalp by tattooing micro dots under existing hair, creating a shadow effect reflecting the illusion of thicker hair. Because balding does not discriminate, this procedure is excellent for both men and women.
If you’re stressed about hair loss and have tried every method, such as prescriptions, thickening shampoos, messy sprays and costly treatments which do not promise results…this, honestly, is an affordable and effective option that is most likely for you. Taking 3 to 7 visits to complete the effect, the procedure can last 5+ years for a healthy person. Lifestyle does influence durability and stayablity of artistry. This treatment is fully natural looking and boosts confidence whether male or female. The before and aftercare is minimal and simple to follow. You couldn’t ask for more. If you’re using colour sprays and hats to disguise thinning, put them away because this game changer is likely for you!
Modern men today see the benefit of Microblading their brows. This is an excellent method to bring back a youthful look. The technique is a modest application of strokes and colour, carefully chosen to achieve the best result.
As each person will respond differently, we do our very best to make sure the client is as comfortable as possible. We, the client and I, discuss and decide together what is in the best interest for the client. Having a clear understanding of what is involved in the procedure is the first step. Knowledge is power. While most people tolerate this procedure very well, an application of a fast-acting numbing solution, if necessary, will be applied throughout the treatment and will result in comfortable and positive experience.
Microblading is an eyebrow enhancement tattoo that involves drawing each individual hair stroke with a disposable manual hand tool that embeds pigment superficially into the dermis leaving a realistic hair stroke. Microblading can modify or restore brow shape, colour and density and can last up to 3 years, but often requires a yearly colour “boost”.
If your brows require filling in, reshaping, are sparse or even non-existent, then you’re a candidate Bigtime! Full healthy brows are the current trend for all generations. Enhancing your brows is a great smudge proof way to restore your youthful look. No longer will you lose your brows in the pool, nor spend hours drawing them on then lose them at the gym during a good workout. Not only are they weatherproof, gym-proof and memory-proof, they are designed perfectly for you and only you…no-one should have your eyebrows! Colour, hair thickness, brow density, and shape are all customized to your preference and what will look best on you.
Permanent makeup is also known as cosmetic tattooing or Micropigmentation. This method deposits pigment with an electronic device, leaving many little dots with in the skin which form a shape at the hand of the artist.
Traditional eyebrow tattoos are achieved with the use of a tattoo machine that deposits thousands of tiny dots of pigment into the skin to achieve a uniform, filled-in or hair stroke appearance. This method differs from Microblading in that the strokes aren’t as fine due to the vibration of the machine. You might hear that Microblading doesn’t last as long because it is not as deep as a traditional method. This is incorrect. A faded Microblade may leave a powdery residue on the skin which may last for years. This can be wonderful if you love your shape. Traditional tattoos are more permanent due to the depth of deposit lasting many years.
Nothing! Different companies and artists have attempted to come up with a variety of names to make their product sound unique. Manual hair strokes are achieved using hand tools that are a variety of shapes and sizes and results will always depend on the artistry, technique and skill of the person doing them.
Eyebrow Microblading is definitely for those who have little to no eyebrow hair. We will work together to create a soft, natural shape that compliments your facial features. This may include a combination of hair strokes and shading depending on the desired look. This can be discussed during the initial consultation.
Some stray hairs may be removed if they are outside the defined area of your new brow shape but the rest of your hairs will stay. The new Microbladed hairs will blend with your existing brow hair.
If you are currently undergoing chemotherapy, you should wait until your treatment is complete and your immune system has returned before Microblading or any form of cosmetic tattooing. If, in special cases, your doctor has given you an ok and is willing to put it in writing saying to proceed, this would be the only exception. Further, if you are pre-chemo, or post-chemo but your brows haven’t grown back, then this is really for you.
For the first few days, the brows will look a little larger and a few shades darker than you are accustomed to. During the first week when healing begins, there may be flaking and unevenness but do not be alarmed; this stage is short-lived. Be patient. The procedure is 2 parts and requires them both. Full healing of the skin takes 4-6 weeks and final colour should not be considered until 6 to 8 weeks after FINAL touch up.
Microblading or Micropigmentation if you…
- are pregnant
- are on Accutane or have been in the last 6 months
- have keloid or hypertrophic scarring
- have uncontrolled diabetes
- are under the age of 18. You will need a parent or guardian presence at time of appointment.
There is no guarantee on complete coverage of an existing tattoo. Microblading can be a great option for a more natural looking brow when the previous tattoo is not too saturated. If, however, your brows are scarred or the existing pigment is very saturated or has faded to an unnatural colour, it may be more complicated. For those with an existing tattoo, it is best to schedule a consultation to discuss the steps required for correction. It should be noted that in some cases removal may be necessary. Correction will involve additional costs when covering another artist’s work.
